TuneFest Dungarvan is back for five days, 17th–21st June  — turning the town into a non-stop celebration of traditional Irish music. From headline concerts at the Town Hall to late-night sessions in Club Creation, outdoor gigs buzzing in Grattan Square and workshops with top-class tutors, it's a full-on festival week of tunes, talent and atmosphere — all in the heart of Dungarvan. This is the sell-out festival that fills the town. 
 

Headline Acts 

TuneFest Dungarvan 2026 Headliners Announced!

Five days means five chances to catch world-class trad. Makem & Clancy kick things off Thursday night at the Town Hall. Friday brings Cherish the Ladies to the stage.

Saturday is a full takeover.
Start the night with Cherish the Ladies live in concert at 7pm in the Town Hall Theatre, followed by The Big Saturday Session featuring The Rising, Damien Mullane, Eugene Quinn and Colm Keane at Club Creation. 

Then keep the night going at Lawlors Hotel from 9:30pm with Social Dancing and live music from Patrick O’Sullivan.

Anyone who purchases a Saturday Cherish the Ladies ticket receives free entry to the Social Dancing event on the same night.

Sunday closes with Danú at the Park Hotel..

Gig Rig

Enjoy free, outdoor performances on the Gig Rig throughout the weekend as Grattan Square turns into the beating heart of TuneFest. 
Expect a buzzing crowd, big tunes and a proper festival atmosphere right in the centre of town — the perfect spot to drop in, soak it up, and catch incredible trad in the open air.

Pub Sessions 

The heart of TuneFest beats in Dungarvan's pubs. 
From morning sessions to late-night jams, the town comes alive with music day and night. You'll find traditional musicians — locals and visitors — bringing tunes to every corner of Dungarvan. Drop into any pub and you'll stumble onto a session: intimate sets in quiet corners, spontaneous jams with friends, and the kind of trad that keeps you on your feet until closing time. It's authentic, it's alive, and it's what TuneFest is all about.

Workshops 

Our much-loved TuneFest workshops return this June, bringing immersive, hands-on traditional music sessions back to Dungarvan.

Designed for intermediate to advanced musicians, these focused sessions aim to refine technique, expand repertoire and deepen your understanding of Irish traditional music. Please note: these workshops are not suitable for beginners.

Busking Competition

Saturday 20 June 2026 – Registration at 2pm outside The Local on Grattan Square. €5 per person.

Young musicians get the chance to showcase their talent on one of Dungarvan's busiest spots, with a real audience and real buzz. It's a brilliant platform for emerging trad talent.

Whether it's the busking competition, workshops with All-Ireland Champion tutors, or simply soaking up the atmosphere at the gig rig, there's something for every age and skill level. Five days means five chances to discover new music, meet musicians, and be part of a thriving trad community.

Just outside town, the stunning Waterford Greenway offers a perfect escape.
