A long-standing TuneFest tutor and firm festival favourite, Tara Breen returns once again to lead our fiddle workshop — and it fills up every year. An All-Ireland Senior Fiddle Champion and internationally acclaimed performer with groups including The Chieftains, Tara brings exceptional musicianship, energy and depth to every session.

Expect focused, high-level tuition, powerful tunes and the kind of inspiration that stays with you long after the workshop ends.

Caoimhín Ó Fearghail Flute / Whistle

Hailing from An Rinn in the Waterford Gaeltacht, Caoimhín Ó Fearghail is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist renowned for his uilleann piping and flute playing. Deeply influenced by the rich musical tradition of his home area, he has performed and toured internationally with leading groups including Danú, Téada, Altan and Caladh Nua.

A former TG4 Young Musician of the Year and RTÉ Folk Award winner, Caoimhín brings depth, precision and authenticity to every workshop session.

Keelan McGrath  Accordion

Keelan McGrath is an accomplished accordionist from North Tipperary and a multiple All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil winner, known for his crisp, energetic playing and deep command of traditional tunes. He has performed nationally and internationally, represented Irish music at festivals and events, and teaches masterclasses and workshops across Ireland. With an honours degree in Traditional Irish Music, Keelan brings passion, precision and fresh inspiration to every session.

Ademar O'Connor
Banjo

Ademar O’Connor is an accomplished tenor banjo player from Ireland with deep roots in traditional music. A standout performer at festivals and sessions nationwide, he combines rhythmic precision with lively expression and a natural feel for the music’s pulse. As both a seasoned player and engaging tutor, Ademar brings enthusiasm, clarity and musical insight to his workshops — perfect for intermediate and advanced trad musicians looking to expand their banjo skills.

Colm Browne 
concertina

Colm is a concertina player and sean-nós dancer from Cree, West Clare. He is the current All-Ireland Senior Concertina Champion (2023) and has received numerous prestigious awards for both music and dance, including the Bonn Óir Sheáin Uí Riada (2022) and Oireachtas na Samhna (2017).

Coming from a rich musical family steeped in tradition, Colm performs regularly with his brothers, Seán and Liam, and brings a deep understanding of style, rhythm and ornamentation rooted in the Clare tradition.

Ann Mulqueen & Alice Fitzgerald 
Singing

Our Singing Workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn from one of Ireland’s most respected voices in traditional music.

A three-time All-Ireland Ballad Singing Champion, Ann Mulqueen has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning decades. She has performed and recorded with legendary names including The Dubliners and the Gallowglass Céilí Band, bringing authenticity and depth to every performance.

Now based in An Rinn, Ann brings a deep love of traditional Irish song and a wealth of experience to this special workshop — guiding singers through repertoire, style and storytelling in the tradition.

🎶 Open Level: No grading — all singers welcome.

Danny Collins
Bodhrán

Danny Collins, from West Cork is a multi-instrumentalist and composer. He started playing Traditional Irish Music at the age of seven and has been highly involved in the Traditional music circuit ever since.

After graduating with a first class honours BA in Irish Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, Danny has since toured extensively with music shows, dance shows, tutored at many festivals and performed on both national and international stages all over the world. Danny is a member of the multi-award winning quintet Goitse. He is a multiple All Ireland winner on numerous instruments, with his most recent All Ireland success being attained as a member of the All Ireland winning Céilí Band ‘Taobh na Mara’. He is a well sought after performer, tutor and music teacher with many of his students also achieving All Ireland success.
